Ok, so you’re looking to get a dog pet door installed on your door, but with all the choices available, how can you pick the right one for you?
That’s a good question, and it’s exactly why I compiled this list of dog doors, and then broke it down based on the size of your dog, the function of the pet door and the mounting location.

Smart Doors
Electronic Dog Door
Do you want a secure door that recognizes your dog? Plexidor makes a great electronic smart door that automatically opens only for your dog, keeping the strays and other wildlife out where it can safely stay wild.
If security is an issue, these doors are are made out of tough, shatter-resistant aircraft acrylic mounted on a thick aluminum frame, and can be secured from the inside.
They’ll also save you money on heat or AC since they’re draft-resistant.
Door/Wall and Glass-Mounting Dog Doors
Aside from the electronic smart doors mentioned above (which can actually be mounted on both the doors, walls as well as patio doors and windows), there is a line of standard units made by Plexidor.

Large Dog Doors
If you have an average large dog, all of the above doors come in sizes large enough to let your dog through.
